Born in 1960 in Cremona, Pietro Ferruccio Laviani is an artistic director for companies, industrial products and retail installations. Since 1999 he has designed for Dada and Molteni & C, significantly contributing to the construction of the Molteni & C range of sofas and armchairs, with Hi-Cove, Hi-Bridge, Holiday and Freestyle, examples of functionality and rigor of form. For Dada he designs several kitchens, including Quadrante and Hi-Line, which have marked the history of the company in the last decade. After graduating in Architecture at the Polytechnic of Milan, in 1986 he became an associate of the De Lucchi studio. He curates the exhibition “Technique discretes. Le design du furniture italien 1980-1990” at the Louvre and collaborates with Memphis. He began his collaboration with Kartell as Artistic Director in 1991, followed by that with Flos, Tisettanta, Moroso, Piombo, Pandora Design. In 1997 he designed the exhibition dedicated to Gio Ponti and Vico Magistretti with Achille Castiglioni and took care of the image of the De Padova showroom in Milan. In 2001 he began his collaboration with the designers Dolce&Gabbana, for which he designed the corners and interiors of the new headquarters in via Goldoni in Milan.
