Taking up the sinuous shapes of the LEHNSTUHL lounge chair and the BODYSTUHL chair; Nigel Coates presents the BISTROTSTUHL dining chair; another unprecedented reinterpretation of the Thonet tradition in a contemporary key. Extremely comfortable and ergonomic; it is characterized by the sculptural backrest with an anthropomorphic character which recalls the typical triangular shape of the shoulder blades. A detail taken from the CAFÉSTUHL chair; the other 2016 novelty designed by Coates; which in this project is further exasperated: the organic lines; in harmony with its refined proportions; in fact, they literally envelop those who sit there; seamless; from the backrest to the armrests. Designed to furnish domestic environments with a strong character and ideal for contract spaces; this elegant proposal takes up the characteristic serpentine workmanship of the underseat which identifies all the pieces signed by the English designer for GTV.
