| Poul Kjærholm designed the PK52 Professor Desk when the Academy needed a series of tables for teachers and students. Kjærholm used his extensive experience as a carpenter to develop a new table structure that clearly showed how well he mastered the materials steel and wood. Metal sleeves separate steel and wood to give the desk a dynamic and light appearance. Furthermore; the table top is reversible; allowing the user to work on either side or use one side for work and the other for meals or social occasions. The PK52 Professor Desk is also available in a shorter version; the PK52A Student Desk. Both tables offer elegant storage space in the form of an optional drawer and can easily be used as a combined desk and dining table |
