| Arne Jacobsen's AJ52 Society Table is a timeless example of the Danish architect's functionalist approach to design and was created in 1952 at the height of his career. Jacobsen used new techniques and materials to create the elegant desk with a finely textured leather top that nestles comfortably against a frame of metal tubing. A conical desk lamp in brushed stainless steel forms the seamless extension of the design. This also applies to the wood and veneer letterbox with glass front. Under the table is a unit with six drawers; also made of wood and veneer; suspended on narrow metal tubes – a feature that; together with the slim structure and solid wood feet; contributes to the lightness of the desk. The AJ52 Society table is available in two sizes and comes with or without a letterbox and table lamp. Here is the largest model with dimensions 160 x 70 cm. The six drawer unit can be mounted under the left or right side of the table. You can choose between solid oak wood drawers; walnut or black lacquered oak and matching feet |
