Features and functionality
HAL RE Armchair Studio ensures pleasant comfort; thanks to the height-adjustable swivel base equipped with shock absorber; especially in combination with an optional seat cushion

Materials and construction
Shell: solution-dyed recycled polypropylene; with optional seat cushion (screwed to the body). Base: five-star base in die-cast aluminum powder coated in basic dark. Swivel mechanism with cushioned seat suspension; adjustable in height. All bases are equipped with carpet glides {felt inserts available on request for hard floors.

Vitra is a family-run design company headquartered in Birsfelden; in Switzerland. Founded by Willi Fehlbaum in 1953 after a trip to the United States; discovering the chairs designed by Charles and Ray Eames. The management responsibilities were subsequently entrusted to the founder's children who; following a fire that destroyed production; took advantage of the opportunity to develop a new plan for the Vitra Factory Campus. In 2012 the Fehlbaum brothers in turn transferred the management of the company to the third generation of the family; represented by Nora Fehlbaum. Vitra makes a major contribution to sustainability by avoiding following short-term trends and forgoing non-essential details. For this reason the company sets out together with its collaborators in search of optimal solutions; placing attention on the durability and longevity of the products.
