With the Can sofa; Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec seek to go beyond creating a practical design; elegant and comfortable. The intention is to reinvigorate the whole idea of the sofa; from something inherently complicated to something simple; relaxed and accessible. The sofa is supplied disassembled and can be easily assembled at home from three basic elements: structure; upholstery and cushions.

Materials and construction
Foam rubber and feather duvet on mattress and pillows. The profiles match fabric/leather. The mattress is irreversible and with integrated anti-slip material on the backrest and Velcro strips to secure the cushions to the frame. External fabric in 100% black cotton canvas or 100% natural linen canvas. Black cotton strap. Structure in black powder coated or chromed steel.
