Features and functionality

Madre is a beautiful table lamp designed by the designer Andrea Anastasio and produced by the Foscarini brand. The shape alludes to the wide hips of mother goddesses; the deities who protected the fertility of the earth. But also to the vase as a container of life; because it was born to accommodate food before flowers. Madre is a poetic object full of associations. Every suggestion linked to light; as a life-generating element; is explored: the myths; the statuettes; the day/night alternation. The large luminous body of Madre accommodates a satin borosilicate glass vase in the upper cavity; where it is possible to place branches to create a sober and elegant whole. The hole that interrupts the vase in the center creates a magical vision {the border and exchange point between internal and external light united in a single image.
