Developed for HAY by Shane Schneck; Tamoto Bed is designed with multifunctionality in mind; making it easy and intuitive to integrate into a modern lifestyle. Tamoto takes inspiration from the typical drapery of kimono sleeves; which inspired Shane's innovative use of folding fabric over the bed frame. The soft and draped headboard is counterbalanced by the generously sized steel tube structure; creating a contemporary and comfortable environment. With a flat design and easy to assemble; removable headboard cover and recyclable materials; functionality was the focus of every stage of the design process.
