Features and functionality

In 1982 designer Charles Pollock created a true design classic with Penelope. The American designed a revolutionary, technical and formal design for Anonima Castelli: a steel wire sled base supports an air-permeable seat which consists of a steel wire mesh covered in synthetic resin. the elastic effect of the base is underlined by an integral polyurethane tube which acts as a shock absorber. the armrest covers made of the same material offer further comfort. with penelope, Pollock has translated into reality a new form of seat. this is why this timeless Classic still enjoys fame in today's design world.

Materials and construction
Chromed or painted steel structure. Rear and lower crossbar in black PVC. Body holder ring in polished or painted aluminium. Body in rilsanized painted mesh in black.
